Acne affects a great number of people in early adulthood. While some avoid the more permanent effects of acne, others may be left with unsightly scarring. There are some simple topical treatments that deal with left over acne scars, but most acne scar removal treatments are done with a combination of surgical procedures and skin resurfacing.

Scar removal treatment depends on the severity and type of scarring. Two common types of scarring are ice pick scars and boxcar scars. Ice pick scars get their name because of their appearance as if the skin was punctured by an ice pick. They are very slim and narrow but are dug deep into the skin’s surface affecting the dermis as well as the subcutaneous layer.

Boxcar scars are round or oval and have sharp vertical edges. They are most often shallow, although some can be deep and are wider in diameter.

Types of Acne Scar Removal Treatments

Punch Excision: This method is used on deep scars such as ice pick and deep box car scars. A tool is used, called a punch biopsy tool, which is matched to the size of your scar. The scar is then excised with the punch tool and the skin edges are sutured together. There is a small scar left behind from the procedure, but it is small and fades with time.

Laser Resurfacing: This procedure is used for many types of skin defects. The lasers essentially burn the top layers of skin and through the healing process, deeper, healthier layers appear.

Dermabrasion: This procedure is very effective because a high speed brush is used to slough off surface skin and alters the form of scars. More shallow surface scars are completely eliminated while deeper scars become more superficial.

Microdermabrasion: This is a newer technique and is a surface form of dermabrasion. In the microdermabrasion procedure, aluminum oxide crystals are used in a vacuum tube to remove surface skin. Only the cells on the outermost surface skin are sloughed off. Because it is a shallow procedure, it is common that multiple treatments may be required.

Chemical Peels: This treatment method uses acid solutions to remove damaged surface cells. Chemical peels for acne effectively enhance and smooth the texture of the skin. There are different types of chemicals peels and your doctor can help recommend an appropriate option depending on the type and severity of your scars as well as your desired outcome. Often the solutions contain alpha hydroxy acids such as glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid and other natural acids.

There are numerous options for acne scars removal and it is important to feel comfortable about which is appropriate for you. Keep in mind that these treatments strongly depend on the type and severity of the scars as well as the desired outcome.

Some of these procedures can be abrasive and therefore it is also vital to take a look at your more natural options that can also promise great results.

Some of the most uncomfortable procedures are those that treat ice pick scars and boxcar scars. But these uncomfortable and costly treatments, such as chemical peels, may not be necessary.

Biocutis has created incredible organic products that work naturally with your skin’s biology to restore healthy skin cells and reduce the appearance of scars. Bioskincare Cream triggers the regeneration of skin cells and restores the surface layers of skin to completely eliminate damaged tissue due to scarring.

What our customers say:

“TI have been using this cream for a month and there has been a definite improvement. I was contemplating laser surgery for my scarring but so far I am happy with the way my scarring is decreasing… I hope this continues… Also I have some spots left but they are going too. I can’t wait for my skin to be normal…”

Acne is a common problem that affects most teenagers at one time or another. It is caused by oil clogging the pores in your skin. The buildup of more oil and bacteria can then cause your skin to become red and inflamed. It commonly begins during puberty, because this is a time when many hormones increase and it is these hormones that cause your skin to produce more oil.

Acne is not caused by the foods that you eat (such as chocolate, soft drinks or greasy foods) or by dirt (blackheads are caused by a pigment, not dirt), and you can’t catch it from someone else. It can be made worse by pinching pimples, harsh scrubbing which irritates the skin, certain cosmetics which can further block oil ducts, and emotional stress.

Acne usually improves by the time you are twenty – twenty five years old, but teens can bring it under control sooner with the proper measures.

Avoiding Acne

Wash (but don’t scrub) your skin twice a day with a mild soap (like Dove, Purpose or Cetaphil). Avoid harsh cleansers or scrubs, as they can irritate your skin.
Don’t pop or pinch pimples.

Use noncomedogenic cosmetics and moisturizers and don’t put oily or greasy substances on your face or hair.

Treating Acne

The medicines used for treatment of acne include benzoyl peroxide, antibiotics, retinoid creams, combinations of these products and herbal and natural skin care products.

Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% 5% 10%

This is one of the most effective acne medicine available OTC and helps to kill bacteria, unplug oil ducts and heal pimples. You should start with a low strength once a day and work up to 10% twice a day. Apply it to all areas where pimples occur, and not just on your current pimples.

If you do not see improvement in 4-6 weeks using OTC meds, then you should see your Pediatrician about using the following prescription medicines:

Benzamycin Topical Gel
This is a combination of 5% Benzoyl Peroxide and Erythromycin (an antibiotic) and it must be kept in the refrigerator and may bleach clothing. Apply a thin layer of it to affected areas after washing once or twice a day. Use it in the morning only if you are also using Retin A at night.

Benzaclin Topical Gel
This is a combination of 5% Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindamycin (an antibiotic) and doesn’t need to be kept in the refrigerator. Apply a thin layer of it to affected areas after washing once or twice a day. Use it in the morning only if you are also using Retin A at night.

Retin A 0.025% 0.05% 0.1% cream
This cream helps unplug oil ducts and should be applied to the affected areas at least 20-30 minutes after washing (applying to wet skin may cause irritation). Use a small amount (one pea-sized dose is enough for your entire face) every third night, and if tolerated, increase to every other night and then every night.

If your skin can’t tolerate Retin A cream, there is a Retin A-Microsphere gel that is less irritating, or we can try some of the newer medicines, including Azelex, Tazorac or Differen gel.

Oral antibiotics such as Minocin are sometimes used if topical therapy doesn’t clear up your acne. They are used twice a day until your acne has cleared up (usually 1-3 months), and then are slowly weaned off.

Skin Irritation

It is not uncommon for the skin to become red, dry and irritated when beginning to use acne medicines. This usually improves with time, but here are some suggestions to minimize irritation:

Use moisturizers if your skin is becoming dry.

If starting more than one new medicine, consider starting with just one and then waiting two or three weeks before beginning the other one.

You can also begin a new medicine by applying it every third night, and then gradually increasing it to every other night and then every night.

Another alternative is washing the medicine off after about five minutes. Each night, you can then leave it on for longer periods of time before washing it off.

In general liquid and solution forms of medications are less irritating than creams and gels, so you can try using a different form of the medication if you can’t tolerate it well.

Seeing a Dermatologist

While most primary care physicians can treat mild and moderate acne, you should consider seeing a specialist if you have severe cystic acne that may lead to scarring, if you are not improving with your current regimen, if you have very sensitive skin and can’t tolerate topical medicines, or if your doctor is not comfortable treating acne. A Dermatologist may be able to use different combinations of the above medicines or may put you on Accutane, an oral retinoic acid that you take daily for three to four months.

Important Reminders

Be patient. It can take 3-6 weeks to see improvement and your acne may get worse before it starts getting better.

Use your medicines every day. If your skin is getting too irritated, red or dry, then start using them every other day. It takes time for your skin to adapt to your new medicines.

Don’t overdo it! Scrubbing your skin or using too much of these medicines can irritate and dry out your skin and won’t make your pimples go away any quicker.

Protect your skin from the sun. These medicines will make your skin more sensitive to the effects of the sun.

Call your physician if you haven’t improved in 4-6 weeks with your current regimen.

What our customers say:

“From age 16 to age 27 I had severe, unrelenting acne and like many of your customers I tried everything. Every anti-biotic, every topical lotion and cream, every diet and skin care regime. Nothing worked until finally I tried Accutane. That finally worked but the side effects and cost were daunting. But after 11 years of acne my self esteem was so wrecked and I was so desperate that I would have walked a mile barefoot on broken glass if I thought it would help. Well here I am now at age 37 and I have been suffering, again, from increasingly worse acne over the last year. I was devastated. I am a veteran of that particular war and could not bear the thought of fighting it again. And let me tell you it is almost worse for my self esteem now than it was as a young adult. It is at least somewhat understandable for a teenager to have it but for someone approaching middle age it just is not right. I feel like people are looking at me like I have a disease. All those terrible memories of not even being able to leave the house for a brief errand without doing the full course of make-up have come crashing back because I am living them again. Having been down that road I know what works and what does not so I knew that none of the conventional wisdom or treatments are worth much at all when it comes to acne. Accutane works but besides the afore mentioned cost and side effects, you have to wait for years after the treatment to have any kind of scar removal surgery. Since using your product my skin has improved fantastically. From the very first application it just looked better, being more smooth and having a bit of a glow. The outbreaks of acne are getting less and less each week and some of the lesser scars are looking more smooth. I hope your product will help with scarring but some of it in my temples and the hollows of my cheeks is probably just to severe. However the rest of my face is looking pretty good for scar improvement. But the real and pronounced benefit is the extreme reduction of acne. I know for a fact that the creme is keeping it under control and I can have my life back again without my every activity being dictated by this condition. All I can say to anyone who is considering buying this product is DO IT NOW! The sooner you start the sooner you will be looking good. It really works without the nasty side effects and cost of a lot of treatments I have tried. It is so refreshing and just about stunning to find a product that actually does what it says. So many companies are experts at telling carefully crafted lies about their products to get people to buy them but not very competent at all about producing a worthy product. Your company really does have something legitimate to sell; something that truely benefits people. Keep up the good work! ”

We would like to introduce you to our wonderful natural skincare product and explain more about the Snail’s extract which provides the active ingredient in the cream we offer as an integral skin treatment.

Today, people all around the world are seeking natural alternatives to prescription drug formulations and synthetic cosmetic preparations for various skin ailments and general skin health and vitality.

BIOSKINCARE contains Helix Aspersa Müller bioactive compound plus an emulsion base to make a liquid into a cream and preserve it from contamination.

The analysis carried out on the SNAIL “Helix Aspersa Müller’s” concentrate proved it is a complex compound of powerful biologically active protein enzymes, copper peptides, proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans.

The compound acts as a biological activator of both the elimination of dead and damaged skin cells and the renewal of healthy cells, and also have antibacterial peptides with a biocid action on micro-organisms.

Snails have moist skins and if wounded they are attacked by opportunistic micro-organisms always searching for a perfect growth medium such as is any injured living surface. They have overcome this problem by secreting a powerful array of antibiotic peptides chains of amino acids – which, by nature of the fact that snails are highly successful species, has proved a unique antibacterial strategy for many millions of years.

These peptides kill bacteria by infiltrating their membranes and literally bursting the cells. This mechanism differs markedly from those employed by most commonly used antibiotics and it is difficult to envisage how bacteria could become resistant to what is a most fundamentally-targeted weapon.

Researchers have isolated such antibiotic peptides from several species of snails and from tropical frogs. In doing so causing these cute little creatures no harm – they have simply washed off the secretions from the skin with water and have isolated the peptides from the solution by sophisticated technology. While such molecules may represent critical advances in our arsenal against infectious bacteria they also provide conservationists with an objective arsenal in the fight for species and habitat protection.

BIOSKINCARE™ not only provides the normal ingredients which may be deficient in the skin, but also restores the skin renewal process by stimulating the germinal cells. These are located at the base of the skin which then migrate to replace the worn-out cells near the skin surface. The result is a healthier appearance of the skin with more thickness, a normal skin color, normal skin texture and normal skin tissue turgor.

A young child’s skin is amazing, isn’t it? The truth is that a child loses dead skin every day, just by changing clothes or rubbing against towels and wash cloth. With the help of peeling agents, we can mimic a child’s skin.

Studies show that BIOSKINCARE contains enzymes that helps to peel and break up the thick outer layer of the skin where excessive build-up of dead skin cells can be associated with many of today’s common skin conditions. This peeling, loosening and breaking up of the outer skin layer leads to a sloughing of dead skin cells, which in turn has been shown to be effective care for cleansing and cleaning of pores in acne prone skin, age spots, hyper-pigmentation and scars; and smoothing of fine lines in older photoaged (sun-damaged) skin.

The positive action of BIOSKINCARE in helping to regenerate damaged skin tissues is due to the natural state of the complex system of the skin’s own ingredients contained in it. Therefore, there action is controlled and slowly released by nature, eliminating the risk of overdoses. For the same reason it has no side effects as other products containing acids in formulation that could be to strong for some types of skin.

Can be used by children and on any skin conditions under no risk. It has been proven effective for Scars (Keloids) – Burns – Stretch Marks – Age Spots – Minor Cuts – Wrinkles – Warts and Acne.

BIOSKINCARE Cream. Organic, natural, non-allergenic cream. It does not contain colorings nor fragrances; it is non-greasy and has a rapid absorption.

What our customers say:

“BIOSKINCARE has most definitely helped me to rid my skin of adult acne and is slowly healing the scars incurred from the years of it.”

Acne is a complex condition that depends basically on A) increased sebum production (at times when you are going through hormonal imbalances…specially during adolescence or if a woman during your period…) in conjunction with B) toxins within your skin due to the intake of protein of poor quality. The latter get deposited by your lymph system within the skin (in the dermis) and there they attract moisture both from within the skin and from the outer layer making it feel dry when there is plenty of water inside…. in fact too much with the result of excessive pressure on the sebaceous glands and the result being as as if they were “pinched off” (ouch!) and thus the sebum flow blocked, pores clogged and sebum eventually breaking out to the surface or within the skin follicles where it is a rich environment for the development of acne bacteria, inflammation and the skin lesions that characterize ACNE.

More on this perspective researched by Wai Genriiu and published at the free acne book

Anything that causes excess water retention within your skin can pinch off the sebaceous glands within your skin and make you break out sebum where acne bacteria will proliferate, in minutes, specially if you are going through a period of high sebum production. Excess salt and spices are the most common triggers, so if you eat too many potato chips… they contain both.

About cooked proteins and acne: Heat destroys and/or changes essential nutrients. New harmful substances are formed in all animal or vegetable foods that are heated in whatever way. Dietary protein is partially damaged in the preparation process (cooking, freezing, etc) Protein molecules interact with dietary carbohydrates, forming new molecules. This process is called “the Maillard reaction”, and the same occurs to peptides (amino-acid chains) because of simple oxidation.

In more detail: Digestive enzymes break protein amino acids, only if the targeted part of the protein matches what the enzyme is programmed for. If the linked amino-acids have changed due to heat their is no separation. The un-separated amino-acid chains are transported by the lymph system, at a much lower rate than blood does. And such cargo of Maillard reaction and oxidized peptide products is discharged into the skin so that the lymph can return to the digestive tract and the liver to pick up new cargo of valuable nutrients that it transports for use by the body’s organs.

Cooked proteins transforms into broken peptides (aminoacid chains) not absorbed into your blood stream but disposed off by your lymphatic system. And end up in the inner layer of your skin attracting moisture and pressing your sebaceous glands to the point of blocking them… and thus pimples.

Procedure to get rid of toxins accumulated within your skin (in the dermis):

a.- Go to a sauna and get into it for 15 minutes (not more not less), then shower. Then back to the sauna for another 15 minutes.. then shower, and then drink clean pure water. You can do this once or twice a month if you do not get addicted to such pleasures… and the clear results for your skin… specially if you also follow the next step. (If a sauna is not feasible steaming your face a few times a week will help a little. (Boil some water in a pot on the stove, turn off the heat, cover your head and face with a towel and hang your face over the pot. Take your face away from the heat whenever you need to, and when the steam is gone, rinse your face with cold water.)

b.- Shift your diet, and stick strictly to it for two weeks. Eat loads of fresh fruits and fresh salads including tomato, avocado and virgin olive oil, plus fresh Brazil nuts (shelled) and 50 grams each day of high quality bio-available proteins in the form of raw fish such as sashimi (fresh fish the Japanese way without the rice) or raw tuna fish (fresh not refrigerated or canned). In between meals drink mineral water to help your body flush out toxins. The recommended amount of water you should drink is at least half your bodyweight in ounces of water (a 140lb. individual should drink 70 ounces/day ). After those two weeks try eating a diet high in fiber and raw foods — salads, bran, complex carbohydrates, fresh raw fish, Brazil nuts (you crack) and lots of mineral water. This will keep your system free of dirty proteins and your digestive tract moving so that your skin is not burdened by wastes your system can’t handle. Keep your diet low in fat, sugar, too much salt and spices.

c. Apply BIOSKINCARE™ twice a day to a) speed the process of clearing your sebaceous glands of debris. b) get rid of acne bacteria within your skin follicles and c) clear acne marks and repair acne scarring.

During adolescence or if you are suffering recurrent acne breakouts, with a change in your nutritional habits plus the daily use of a little BIOSKINCARE™, dead cells and toxins will be dissolved, hair follicles will remain clean of debris, germs are kept under control and ultimately the sebaceous gland will function normally again. The Final Result: YOUR FACE CLEAR OF ACNE AND MARKS!!!

Light to Moderate Acne

Biochemically Speaking, Acne Is Easy to Understand: Testosterone (an androgen hormone) targets the skin and the sebaceous glands where sebum is produced. It combines with the enzyme 5alpha-reductase to produce dihydrotestosterone, which stimulates the sebaceous glands to produce increased volumes of sebum. Sebum is expelled out into the follicular tube.

Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) and other bacteria on the skin and within the follicles produce bacterial lipases (enzymes) that move into the follicle opening and convert sebum into free fatty acids, which irritate the follicle lining. This irritation causes excessive production of cells and cellular debris, which block the follicle and trap P. acnes inside. The P. acnes inside the blocked follicle breed and produce acne infections. Infections grow and irritate and inflame the skin and macrophage cells produce histamines that cause the skin to become red, puffy and sensitive or even itchy. This causes more follicle blockage and promotes more acne infections.

BIOSKINCARE Cream kills P. acnes and a variety of other undesirable bacteria and keeps follicles open.

BIOSKINCARE is a cream that absorbs quickly and is made from a substance gathered from live creatures (Chilean Snails, without any harm to them). The natural substance is a complex compound that combines natural antibiotic peptides that fight acne infection and inflammation; bio-available skin regenerating peptides that vanish red marks and prevent and repair scars; and enzymes that open clogged pores.

The natural antibiotic action of BIOSKINCARE is effective against skin infections and without the pitfalls of pharmaceutical antibiotics or the side effects of harsh chemicals.

The secret of BIOSKINCARE™ is not only that it provides the normal ingredients which may be deficient in the skin, but also restores the skin renewal process by stimulating the germinal cells. The result is a healthier appearance of the skin with more thickness, a normal skin color, normal skin texture and normal skin tissue turgor.

Skin faces all types of pollutants, microorganism attacks, and weather changes while protecting our body and preserving its health. It is thus necessary to take daily care of skin in order to avoid any skin disorders. For people suffering from acne, a skin care regimen becomes more important as a lack of cleansing and hygiene might lead to a flare-up of already infected skin.

It is easy to take care of normal skin. But acne-infected skin needs special handling as it becomes sensitive to cosmetics, dietary habits, and psychological factors like stress.

Acne-infected skin should be washed with a mild cleanser. Cleansers or soaps with a strong fragrance should be avoided as they might trigger some allergic reaction in the skin. If you have acne, wash your face at least twice a day: once in morning and in the evening. In between wash your face after any strenuous activity which might make you perspire, like exercise. Acne-infected skin should not be scrubbed as it will spread the infection on other areas of skin. Skin should be thoroughly rinsed with water after washing. It is also recommend for acne prone people to shampoo hair regularly.

If your skin is very oily, then an alcohol-based astringent is ideal to wipe the skin before washing or before going to bed. Keep in mind that this astringent should be put on a wet cotton pad first and then on the skin. Do not use too much astringent as it might cause irritation in the skin. For dry skin, milk cleansers are better cleaning agents. But, if your skin is dry and you suffer from acne, then keep away from creamy cosmetics or cleansing milk as it will increase the oiliness of infected area.

Acne prone people should wash their face with warm water, soap and use only their fingertips for washing. Do not use any kind of scrub, wash cloth, or sponge on the skin infected with acne. Rinse with warm water and then pat dry. All this hardly takes a minute but makes a lot of difference in terms of proper acne treatment and the health of your skin.

Although skin care is necessary to maintain healthy skin, if you do not pay attention to the internal processes for healthy skin, then no amount of outer care will make your skin clear. A poor diet, bad digestive function, liver malfunction, excessive sun exposure, and smoking are some of the reasons behind bad and unhealthy skin.

Acne prone people should pay attention to what kind of cosmetics they buy and use. Most of the cosmetics have chemicals which produce comedones (pimples). If you have acne then you should look for cosmetics which are labeled as being non-comedogenic. All the cosmetics you use should be oil free. Even oily hair products might spread acne to the forehead.
To have healthy skin, it is necessary to get rid of dead skin cells. If we don’t, then the skin will look dull. Dead skin prevents oxygen, moisture and nutrients from reaching the new skin cells being formed under the dead cells. Scrubs and chemical peels can be used to rid skin of dead cells.

But these can not be used on acne. For people having acne or very oily skin, a traditional face mask made of gram flour is very useful. It not only exfoliates dead cells without harming the skin, it also dries out the excess oil and relieves the skin of stickiness. In fact, it is good to use natural cleansers on acne skin and oily skin. Orange peels are one such method which makes oily skin glow with its essential oils and drying property. You can prepare it at home by drying out an orange peel and then grinding it to a fine mix. It is especially good in summers to clean skin of excessive oil.

Essential skin care can be completed in four easy steps. Determine your skin type, perhaps with the help of some skin specialist. Clean your skin daily. Use a moisturizer, even for oily skin, as all types of skin need protection and lubrication. Protect your skin from the sun and exfoliate regularly to remove dead cells.

What our customers say:

“I have been using BIOSKINCARE for two months now and I can’t believe the difference. I am excited to wake up every morning and see the changes in my skin. I had deep acne scars and I was considering laser surgery to remove them. Luckily I found your website first. I started using THE CREAM and after one week I was hooked. I ordered two jars and have been using them faithfully. My scars are almost completely gone and my overall skin looks so much better. Thank you for your wonderful product.”

Augmentation is a unique method among acne scar treatments. Material (mostly collagen) is injected under the scar, which causes the scar to float up to the surface of the skin. Sometimes, one’s own fat is used as the injecting material. This method does not cause any swelling that might require time to recover. Augmentation of soft tissue is expected to become a more permanent acne scar treatment in the future.

Soft tissue augmentation means filling the defect in the dermis through infiltration of certain substances known as fillers. This will correct atrophic scars. Previously collagen or fat from other parts of body was injected beneath the scar to raise the skin to the surface level. Nowadays many artificial types of fillers are available. Collagen injections are temporary, and last about 6 months.

There are many types of injectables used for augmentation. Unfortunately, most of the injectables widely available are not considered permanent. In addition, some are not available in all countries. Here is a list of some of them to get you started in your research:

Different types of fillers used in skin augmentation:

Isolagen

Fat

Fascian

Restylane

Collagen

Artecoll

Aquamid

AlloDerm

The disadvantage of soft tissue augmentation is that it has to be repeated every 6-10 months.

There are a lot of ways to get rid of acne scars but… what is the best acne scar treatment?

That is a question posed by millions of people on a daily basis. The answer used to depend on your specific acne scar type. People for years have been undergoing procedures that cause serious side effects that leave their skin in worse shape then before the procedure. This is no longer a worry thanks to the biological discovery of an organic serum that helps to regenerate damaged skin and provides an effective solution for many skin problems.

Natural cure for acne scarring

BIOSKINCARE™ is a home treatment for treating acne scarring that contains a biological ingredient named Helix Aspersa Muller Glycoconjugates. BIOSKINCARE™ can be applied to acne scars and a wide variety of skin blemishes. The acne scarring treatment can eliminate the scars from the inside out, giving you clear skin and more importantly the confidence to face the world without a mask.

Whether you are confronting the all-too-familiar adolescent scourge of acne or suffering from similar problems as an adult, you may be surprised to learn that acne care has recently seen something of a revolution. No, we are not referring to the latest, slightly altered topical cream or spray. We are referring to a new antimicrobial and skin regenerating natural product plus a paradigm change in the way acne itself is perceived.

For generations, acne, like so many other dermatological problems, has been perceived as a self-contained issue with a self-contained solution. But as alternative practitioners have long known dermatological problems are far more likely to be the external manifestation of a deeper systemic imbalance. As such, a truly effective acne cure must work at both the surface and at the root of the problem.

Such two-prone approach to acne care is what we would like you to consider. Combine 1) an antibacterial and skin regenerating cream to address acne from the outside and 2) change your diet to detoxify your body and restore balance from the inside. This new approach has succeeded where more superficial ones have failed. Better still, because every element of this regimen is natural, there are no known side effects.

What makes it necesary to have this two-prone approach to acne care?

During puberty rising hormone levels cause the sebaceous (oil) glands of the skin to get bigger. This is activated by male-type hormones found in both males and females. The sebaceous glands secrete an oily substance called sebum which empties onto the skin’s surface through the hair follicles.

If those hair follicles become plugged and sebum cannot discharge on the skin surface, acne bacteria which is always present within the skin follicles -where they function in simbiosis with humans to produce sebum from dead cells- start reproducing too quickly and become virulent. The increased pressure within the clogged follicle causes the wall of the follicle to rupture. As a result, sebum, bacteria and shed skin cells escape into the surrounding tissue, forming papules, pustules and nodules that can be large and painful. This usually heals within 8 weeks but in the meantime multiple skin injuries are left behind due to inflammatory infection.

Acne places heavy demands upon the skin’s components. Infection destroys collagen and elastin fibers, severs the microvascular system and damages and kills cells. When healing occurs, normally after a long time if acne injuries are not properly treated, a scar is left in the skin. The normal functional tissue (skin) is replaced by connective tissue (scar).

Acne is a complex condition that depends basically on excess sebum (oil) production that occurs when you are going through hormonal imbalances… (specially during adolescence or, if a woman, during your period…) in conjunction with toxins within your skin, due to the intake of excess protein of poor quality.

Toxins within the skin follicles attract moisture and create pressure as if the sebaceous glands where pinched off, resulting in a soft pliable lump (knows as a cyst) within the hair follicle. The cyst is usually not painful or discolored unless it becomes infected by bacteria. Then it may become a deep painful bump (severe nodular cystic acne). Nodular acne can result in permanent scarring. This type of acne must be addressed with a holistic or two-prone approach that considers both 1) an action from outside to kill bacteria and repair skin damage and 2) an action from the inside to detoxify your body.

Killing bacteria and repairing skin damage.

Mild acne may be the consequence of plugging of the opening of the hair follicles due to shedding of skin cells, from the outer layer of the skin, and sticking with the sebum, resulting in whiteheads. When whiteheads are exposed to air they form blackheads due to oxidation (think of an apple that you leave on your desk half eaten). This type of acne can be quickly addressed with the simple application of an antimicrobial product an cleansing of the skin pores.

BIOSKINCARE Cream is one such product that not only kills acne bacteria effectively and without the pitfalls of chemicals or pharmaceutical drugs or antibiotics. It also acts as an exfoliant eliminating dead cells and it heals and triggers the regeneration of damaged tissue. It also nourishes your skin and protects it from free radicals. Improves skin’s elasticity, and leaves it silky soft and soothed.

BIOSKINCARE penetrates deep into the skin follicles where the antimicrobial peptides and the bio-available compound in it dissolves the sebum plugs and triggers the digestion of damaged cells and their replacement with new elastic cells, collagen and pigment, filling in scar cavities. It also shrinks and replace the old fibrous collagen formed to repair damaged tissues, which otherwise may leave raised scars behind. Healing is recognized when new ‘invisible’ hair, known as lanugo, comes through the restored hair follicles in those areas. BIOSKINCARE also “pumps” up the cells and the “ground substances” in the skin. That also reduces wrinkles on the surface of the skin.

Detoxify your body to avoid plugging of sebum glands.

Procedure:

Go to a sauna and get in it for 15 minutes (not more not less), then shower. Then back to the sauna for another 15 minutes… then shower. This helps your body to get rid of toxins within your skin. You can do this once or twice a month if you do not get addicted to such pleasures… and the clear results for your skin… specially if you also follow the next step:

Shift your diet, and stick strictly to it for two weeks. Eat loads of fresh fruits and fresh salads including tomato, avocado and virgin olive oil and avocado oil, plus fresh nuts (shelled) and 50 grams each day of high quality bio-available proteins in the form of raw fish such as sashimi (fresh fish the Japanese way without the rice) or raw tuna fish (fresh not refrigerated or canned).

Apply BIOSKINCARE twice a day to speed the process of getting rid of acne bacteria within your skin follicles, halt inflammation and repair acne scarring.

Treatments for Acne Scars

You can also use BIOSKINCARE to prevent and repair acne scars.

Acne scars are caused by the body’s inflammatory response to acne lesions. The best way to prevent scars is to treat acne early, and as long as necessary. If scars form, BIOSKINCARE cream is very effective in repairing acne scars by helping both to trigger new skin cell formation when the skin has been damaged and to speed up the process of scar maturation.

Pigment (melanin) is produced in the skin (in melanocyte cells) as a natural result of skin injury. The injury could be a cut or a burn or an infection, such as acne. Pigment is brown to dark brown in color. This should not be confused with temporary red marks that are produced by the infection and the healing process. Pigment can also be caused or exaggerated by hormones within the skin. Dark skin is especially prone to pigment spots resulting from inflammation. Increased hormonal production during pregnancy may also cause pigment patterns, such as pregnancy mask, or melasma.

Acne is an injury (infection) that can result in pigment spots. Depending upon the severity of the injury, the spot may remain visible four to twelve weeks. If the acne infection is slow to heal (as a result of chemical imbalances in the skin) the pigment marks can be darker and may last eight to twelve weeks.

People with moderate to severe acne become systemically (bodily) deficient in chemicals needed to prevent acne and prevent pigment spots. Zinc, as discussed in the sections on “Moderate to Severe Acne Treatment” and “Acne Rosacea,” can block many of the conditions that promote acne. Zinc also acts to inhibit the production of pigment. Since this chemical is lacking in the skin of people with moderate to severe acne, hyperpigmentation can become a secondary problem.

Preventing Pigment Spots:
Pigment spots are a direct result of acne infections and therefore reducing or eliminating acne will reduce or eliminate the problems with pigment spots. Rather than attempting to treat or lighten the pigment, the problem is best resolved by controlling or eliminating the cause, which is acne.

BIOSKINCARE Cream can effectively control or eliminate acne. prevent acne and act to reduce or prevent hyperpigmentation.

The use of benzoyl peroxide products generates free radicals in the skin and interferes with and slows the healing process. The red and brown marks that are a part of the acne healing process may last weeks longer when benzoyl peroxide is a regular part of the daily regimen. Benzoyl peroxide promotes hyperpigmentation and people with medium to dark skin who use benzoyl peroxide on a regular basis may also experience an increase in the hyperpigmentation caused by acne infections. (See the Acne Tips page for more information on benzoyl peroxide.)

Red Spots:
People with light skin usually develop red to purple marks at the sites of infections and these marks can last eight to twelve weeks. The spots are part of the normal healing process and specifically caused by the volume of free radicals produced in the skin’s repair. The use of BIOSKINCARE Cream (for mild and moderate acne) will prevent acne and will speed the healing process and gradually lighten the red spots.

A number of treatments are available for acne scars. The type of treatment selected should be the one that is best for you in terms of your type of skin, the cost, what you want the treatment to accomplish, and the possibility that some types of treatment may result in more scarring if you are very susceptible to scar formation.

You may want to give BIOSKINCARE a try, both to prevent and repair acne scars, specially after reading the testimonials or about its ingredients and properties, AND/OR you might be willing to seek surgical treatments.

A decision to seek surgical treatment for acne scars depends on:

The way you feel about scars. Do acne scars psychologically or emotionally affect your life? Are you willing to “live with your scars” and wait for them to fade over time? These are personal decisions only you can make.

The severity of your scars. Is scarring substantially disfiguring, even by objective assessment?

A dermatologist’s expert opinion as to whether scar treatment is justified in your particular case, and what scar treatment will be most effective for you.

Before committing to treatment of acne scars, you should have a frank discussion with your dermatologist regarding those questions, and any others you feel are important. You need to tell the dermatologist how you feel about your scars. The dermatologist needs to conduct a full examination and determine whether treatment can, or should, be undertaken.

The objective of scar treatment is to give the skin a more acceptable physical appearance. Total restoration of the skin, to the way it looked before you had acne, is often not possible, but scar treatment does usually improve the appearance of your skin.

The acne scar treatments that are currently available include:

Collagen injection. Collagen, a normal substance of the body, is injected under the skin to “stretch” and “fill out” certain types of superficial and deep soft scars. Collagen treatment usually does not work as well for ice-pick scars and keloids. Collagen derived from cows or other non-human sources cannot be used in people with autoimmune diseases. Human collagen or fascia is helpful for those allergic to cow-derived collagen. Cosmetic benefit from collagen injection usually lasts 3 to 6 months. Additional collagen injections to maintain the cosmetic benefit are done at additional cost.

Autologous fat transfer. Fat is taken from another site on your own body and prepared for injection into your skin. The fat is injected beneath the surface of the skin to elevate depressed scars. This method of autologous (from your own body) fat transfer is usually used to correct deep contour defects caused by scarring from nodulocystic acne. Because the fat is reabsorbed into the skin over a period of 6 to 18 months, the procedure usually must be repeated. Longer lasting results may be achieved with multiple fat-transfer procedures.

Dermabrasion. This is thought to be the most effective treatment for acne scars. Under local anesthetic, a high-speed brush or fraise used to remove surface skin and alter the contour of scars. Superficial scars may be removed altogether, and deeper scars may be reduced in depth. Dermabrasion does not work for all kinds of scars; for example, it may make ice-pick scars more noticeable if the scars are wider under the skin than at the surface. In darker-skinned people, dermabrasion may cause changes in pigmentation that require additional treatment.

Microdermabrasion. This new technique is a surface form of dermabrasion. Rather than a high-speed brush, microdermabrasion uses aluminum oxide crystals passing through a vacuum tube to remove surface skin. Only the very surface cells of the skin are removed, so no additional wound is created. Multiple procedures are often required but scars may not be significantly improved.

Laser Treatment. Lasers of various wavelength and intensity may be used to recontour scar tissue and reduce the redness of skin around healed acne lesions. The type of laser used is determined by the results that the laser treatment aims to accomplish. Tissue may actually be removed with more powerful instruments such as the carbon dioxide laser. In some cases, a single treatment is all that will be necessary to achieve permanent results. Because the skin absorbs powerful bursts of energy from the laser, there may be post-treatment redness for several months.

Skin Surgery. Some ice-pick scars may be removed by “punch” excision of each individual scar. In this procedure each scar is excised down to the layer of subcutaneous fat; the resulting hole in the skin may be repaired with sutures or with a small skin graft. Subcision is a technique in which a surgical probe is used to lift the scar tissue away from unscarred skin, thus elevating a depressed scar.

Skin grafting may be necessary under certain conditions—for example, sometimes dermabrasion unroofs massive and extensive tunnels (also called sinus tracts) caused by inflammatory reaction to sebum and bacteria in sebaceous follicles. Skin grafting may be needed to close the defect of the unroofed sinus tracts.

Treatment of keloids. Surgical removal is seldom if ever used to treat keloids. A person whose skin has a tendency to form keloids from acne damage may also form keloids in response to skin surgery. Sometimes keloids are treated by injecting steroid drugs into the skin around the keloid. Topical retinoic acid may be applied directly on the keloid. In some cases the best treatment for keloids in a highly susceptible person is no treatment at all.

In summary, acne scars are caused by the body’s inflammatory response to acne lesions. The best way to prevent scars is to treat acne early, and as long as necessary. If scars form, a number of effective treatments are available. BIOSKINCARE cream is very effective in helping to prevent scars by treating acne at the source and it is very effective in repairing acne scars by helping both to trigger new skin cell formation when the skin has been damaged and to speed up the process of scar maturation.

The role of BIOSKINCARE

BIOSKINCARE™ CREAM acts as an exfoliant eliminating dead cells, destroys pathogens, heals and regenerates damaged tissue. It nourishes your skin and protects it from free radicals. Improves the skin’s elasticity, and leaves it silky soft and soothed.

Once inside the follicle the bio-available compound in BIOSKINCARE will trigger the formation of new elastic cells, collagen and pigment, filling in scar cavities. It will also shrink and replace the old fibrous collagen formed to repair damaged tissues. Soon new ‘invisible’ hair, known as lanugo, will come through the restored hair follicles in those areas. It will also “pump” up the cells and the “ground substances” in the skin. That also reduces wrinkles on the surface of the skin.

What our customers say:

“This is by FAR the most amazing product for skin that I’ve EVER found. I feel like I just can’t live without it! I’m a skin fanatic and have tried lots of different things, but BIOSKINCARE is definitely the BEST. It helps SO much with the clarity and smoothness of my skin. I’m also thrilled with the cost because it is quite low, especially if you just buy more than one container. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way. Thank you for this awesome product!”
