Here at Pai headquarters we like to think that we have organic skin care right up to a t-shirt, but organic make-up – we are not sure.
To broaden our beauty horizon, we sent our PR and marketing assistant Flo to our favorite boutique content to get a natural make-up lesson with make-up artist Lou Dartford.
Here is her overview of what happened:
“Although I already use some natural products, I am pretty easy to take care of when applying make-up (read: useless).
Lou noticed this immediately and instead of pushing me to a bright eye and a bold lip, she gently persuaded me to step out of my makeup comfort zone easily.
She spent a while discussing my skin and the type of finish and look that I generally like before I start.
With a large selection of products that are available on content, she gave me a brilliant and very natural look.
Some of my favorites that I will buy again soon were a damp, slightly liquid foundation from Vapor Beauty, some brilliant multi-pens from W3LL People, a beautiful lipstick from Ilia and small pots with coconut and jojoba oil magic from RMS.
It was great to be guided through the process and I picked up some invaluable tips and tricks for professionals (for example, did you know that mascara is usually at its best a month or two after opening? No, me also not!)
If you want to switch to cleaner cosmetics, get stuck in a make-up rut or just want a makeover, I would definitely recommend stopping by.
The world of natural makeup has improved so much, and as Lou says, it doesn't mean that you throw away everything you currently use, but replace your product with a cleaner alternative that works just as well, if not better! ”
There is no better time to switch to natural September than organic September. One-to-one content classes are available every Saturday and can be booked here.
